The American Indian Center, in partnership with a variety of campus departments and schools, conducts a series of workshops for prospective Native graduate students on preparing and planning for graduate education. The workshops are open to current students as well as community members.

The Native Pathways to Professional Disciplines Series (Native Pathways) fits well within the Center’s mission to promote student scholarship.  Specifically, the series is designed to accomplish the following.

  • Introduce interested individuals to graduate education generally.
  • Answer the most basic questions participants may have about navigating the graduate school decision-making process.
  • Encourage individuals to explore graduate education and help them see themselves at the graduate level.
  • Offer individuals an opportunity to network with current American Indian graduate students, administration in The Graduate School, faculty in select fields, and American Indian alumni across a variety of disciplines
