Dear Students at UNC-Chapel Hill,

The American Indian Center is proud to announce that we will have UNC student employment opportunities for the 2016-2017 academic year, which we call Student Ambassadors. Positions are available for both work-study and non-work study students.

Brief Job Description:

Student Ambassadors will assist with coordinating a variety of Center activities on and off campus with Native communities.  Tasks include marketing, development, coordination, and preparation for Center programs and events.  Ambassadors will also be trained to promote American Indian cultures and values by giving presentations on and off campus about North Carolina Native Nations.   The ideal student will be hard working, respectful, and work collaboratively with the Center staff, other Student Ambassadors, campus partners, and Native communities across the state.  Ideal candidates will have a desire to serve North Carolina’s Indian Country and will develop skills that enable them to work between Native nations and the University.

Selected students must demonstrate an interest in working with Native Nations and be available to commit to working 10 – 15 hours per week. The rate of pay will be between $8.30 – $10.05 per hour.
