Annabelle Webb, originally from Henderson, North Carolina, double majored in History with an American concentration and Political Science, as well as a minor in Education during her time at UNC-Chapel Hill. She is a recent graduate, an alumni of the class of 2020, and used her time here to explore and partake in a wide variety of experiences and extracurriculars.

Not only is she widely loved throughout all of the organizations she’s in, she is also extremely talented. Annabelle played the baritone in the Marching Tar Heels for all four years and after seeing several leaders of the band being involved in the fraternity, she decided to join, becoming a Brother of Kappa Kappa Psi, the National Honorary Band Fraternity. She continued to show her support and love for both the band and the fraternity by taking up positions, demonstrating her excellent leadership skills through this, holding both Alumni Secretary and Historian positions within this organization for her last two years. Talented and also highly accomplished, Annabelle also graduated as an Honors Laureate as an Honors Carolina student.

She was also a Residential Advisor for three years in Horton Residence Hall, wanting to mentor students coming into college by serving as an academic role model and providing her residents with a warm, positive atmosphere to make them feel right at home. Annabelle has also been an active member of the Carolina Indian Circle, supporting all of the Native students in the organization and being an amazing ally, contributing her time and effort to make sure that the events that they have had ran smoothly and made time to attend these events, showing her unbridled support at all times. Wherever she went, she always brought a smile to others with her contagiously bubbly personality.

Before finishing her time at UNC, Annabelle thought about the profound impact that college advisors have on high school students, remembering the advisor that she had in high school and how much he had helped her, and she wanted to do the same for her own students. After graduation this past spring, Annabelle started a job through the Carolina College Advising Corps and is now an advisor at Farmville Central High School. Not only has she started a new job, she is also currently in the MAT program at NC State for Secondary Social Studies! With this she hopes to achieve her dream of becoming a history teacher, so that she can further her positive impact on students and has high hopes and much excitement for the future.
