Faculty Engagement

The Center engages faculty and academic schools and programs in a number of ways. We offer letters of support for grant opportunities, inform research, provide guidance on partnership development with Native Nations, facilitate cultural awareness, support graduate student projects, and coordinate and host academic lectures. Native UNC Research Awards

The American Indian Center offers research funding on a rolling basis to UNC faculty, graduate or undergraduate students to support tribally engaged research or research-related costs (e.g. data collection software, open access fees, findings dissemination, etc.). To apply, please complete this form. UNC faculty may apply for funding up to $2,500.
